I was watching the DVD of an old 80's miniseries called V today, and I couldn't help but notice the striking similarity between it's soundtrack and that of the XBOX game, Halo. Seriously, I don't know if the Halo guys were paying homage to V or not, but it's too similar to be coincidence--especially since both are about getting rid of bad-guy aliens.
