They did it! Just thought I'd let you know, the Avalanche DID win their game today.. the Cannucks DID lose their game today.. and that means the Avs win the division for an NHL record ninth year in a row! In case you don't follow hockey (or sports in general) and have been a bit confused by these posts, winning your division just means finishing the regular season #1 in your little sub-division. The Avs face off against the Minnesota Wild next week in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Also, Peter Forsberg (Avs player) won the NHL trophy for most points in the season (highest combined goals and assists) and Milan Hejduk (Avs player and my favorite non-goalie player) won the NHL scoring title (most goals), scoring his 50th goal of the season tonight. Don't be surprised if next time you see me I'm doing a little dance. :D
